Sin—(1) Why in we receive the mail, which is posted in Shanghai on Sunday and Monday, before we receive the mail posted.
Saturday? Is it because the "alter mail is sent by China Merchants steamers, which invariably arrive several' days late? For instance, to-day we have already received the newspapers for Sun+ day, 11th, and Monday, 12th, but have not received that for Saturday, 10th, though to-day is Saturday, 17th (8) Why it is that mail is not delivered the same day unless the steamer arrives before 4 p.m? AS steamers from Shanghai. usually arrive a little aiter 4 pam, all me coming mails are affected.
