Gen. Wang Vu-ching, the Genet ammand of Western Hupeh, has recently ied his command, and is said to have proceeded down river and to have already Wuchang. The. cause of hi signation seems a little obscure, but there have been reports for some time off trouble in the camp at Ichang, General Wang's headquarters. It appears that General Wang has incurred considerable unpopularity by his dismissal of cei officers. "Last year he dis ed two Colon (tuan-chang) in consequence of which a mutiny nearly Just recently, he has two more Colonels, and has posed the civil magistrate of Tchang from his office. These latest acts of authority have roused storm which General Wang is unable to weather, and so he has telegraphed his "resignation to Peking and come down to Wuchanz, where he is said to be living somewhere incognito.
