Tientsin, Moy 19, Instruction having been received by the local Customs Administration, the preventive measures against smug Bling formulated by the Central Authorities will shortly be put into effect, it was announced here to-day.
Arrangements are being made by Mr. H. D. Billiard, Customs Commigsloner of Tientsin, with the Pel-ping-Liaoning Railway authorities for the. detailing of Customs inspectors at the railway stations as well on trains.
It is understood that the new preventive measures provide that all smuggled goods, when discovered Will hereafter be detained.
