Berlin, Mar. 20.
There have been no negotiations between the Croat ethnical group and Yugoslav Government with a view to settling the Croat problem, M. Vladimir Machek, leader of the Croat Peasant Party, told a representative of the official German DNB. news agency in an interview published. today.
M. Machek added that the Croats have not given up their minimum claims demanding a federal constitution within the present state frontiers.
"The Croats aim at an effective equality of rights with other peoples of the Yugoslav state, but not at hegemony over them," he continued.
M. Machek declared that no time limit had been set for the claims, but expressed the hope that the authorized personalities would not wait too long before making the indispensable demarches with a view to the settlement of the Croat question.—Havas.
