In One-all Draw

In by far their best match this season the boys of the Cathedral School held the more powerful East Surrey boys to a draw, 1-1, on Satur, day. The weather being good, quite a number of spectators turned out, others dropped in as a break in this afternoon walk, to watch a fast and exciting game.

The School kicked off only to loose the ball at once and it looked as if the East Surrey were going to have their own way, until the backs cleared and the School forwards took the ball straight up the field and tested the Surrey goalie for the first time. After this the game was very steady with the play going smoothly from side to side.
