Possibility of Appointment as Finance Minister Hankow, Feb. 24
Mr. T. V. Soong, former Minister of Finance, interviewed General Chiang Kai-shek immediately after his arrival here yesterday from Hongkong.
It is widely reported that Mr. Soong lis being asked to join the Government Many quarters believe that he will take over the Finance portfolio from Dr. H. H. Kung, thus allowing the letter to devote more time to affairs of the Executive Yuan, of which he is also the President One immediate result of Mr. Soong's arrival in Hankow has been to dispel incurs of disagreement within Soong family When Madame Chiang and her brother-in-law, Dr. Kung, visited Hongkong recently, reports were circulated here and abroad that both were trying to persuade Mr. Soong to forget past differences and come to Hankow."—Reuter.
