In order generally to promote the interests of the residents of the Western Area situated between the International Settlement, the French Concession and the Railway, and particularly to check the development of undesirable manufacturing activities in the same, a "Western District Outside Roads Association" has been formed.
There are indications which point to the probable erection: of several new factories in this area, and it is hoped that this Association will receive wide support. A general meeting has been called for Wednesday, March 30, 1938, details of which will be given later.
