London, Mar. 1.
T"nsion between the Japanese authorities and those of the British and French concessions has developed once more in Tientsin, according to reliable reports received in London today, which compare the strain in the North China port with that recently experienced in Shanghai.
In addition to. the erection of live-wire entanglements around both concessions, work on which has been feverishly in progress in the past few days, the Japanese have begun to build an extra bridge across the Pai Rivec and a new road around the concessions, These projects, it is stated, threaten to cut off and isolate the two concessions entirely.
The Japanese, the reports po on, have a new set of orders ready for issue to all Japanese, and to Chinese with—pro-Japanese leanings, to evacuate the concessions at a moment's notice.
The British, French and American authorities in both Tientsin and Shanghai are said to be watching the situation closely.—Reuter.
