An expert foreigner is in charge of the workrooms and some exceedingly beautiful furs are already on show—notably, in addition to many handsome coats and capes, some exquisite foxes and a peculiarly satisfying shoulder cape in skunk, that wonderfully durable, full and soft fur which has made such a comeback this season in London, and which adds moderation in price to strength and beauty. Evening capes and coats which are so close to ermine as to Crumpets are delicious fried if bacon fat for breakfast.
A piece of tinfoil or cellophane around the cork of a vacuum task will prevent the tea or coffee in it from turning black, defy any but an experts eye are very much in the picture and possess every new point demanded by the mode of the moment. A fine collection of unworked skins includes some magnificent beaver. Customers' individual tastes and requirements will have the care and attention for which Messrs. Whiteaway's have an unsurpassed reputation, and many will certainly place themselves i their hands when the supremely important matter of new winter furs is under consideration.
