Whyteleafe Stable's Two Entries

The)Whyteleafe stable have two, Don Federico being the only one that counts at lé-miles, the other Don Ronco may win a short distance race. The Clunie stable, in Cluniehouse and Cluniehill have a couple of good ones.

Mr. J. Pote-Hunt's Sir Richard -is not first-class, but with owner up may run into a place. Amongst the others, I do not know one that can get the distance and put in a gallop to finish with. Though I am not prepared to give a final selection today, I think Cluniehouse will win, with Don Federico getting into the second place. furlongs when beating Fancyray, his time was 2 min. 1g sec, add another 42 to this, and it becomes 2.438, for lh-mile. Star Turn has weighed out once only, and then did not get passed watching the gate go up, and the field getting away without him.

Referring to times, the following last quarters, done by each when winning their race, is of interest, Dainty-foot 263, Man O'Strength 27%, Fancy-ray 28%. The Hongkong record for Australians at 152-mile is 2418. From memory, I think 240 is about the lime done over this distance, on the Park Courses round London with 9 stone up. This of course does not refer to the best class of animals racing. To sum up, today I put down Man O'Strength as the likely winner, followed by Daintyfoot and Fancyray.
