An answer that lacks the love and joy of/personal conviction, means that Jesus Christ is nothing more to you than a mere figure of history. Chris its purest and truest sense is a personal thing, it is a matter of being righ related to the Lord Jesus. All is not well if we can only say, Jesus Christ is a Saviour, or the Saviour of the world; is He My Saviour? Can I read my name into the promises and declarations of God's word? In those verds of our Saviour's passion can I read 'He was wounded for my trans and by His stripes I am healed' gain, 'God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that (change whosoever' and repeat your name)
believing in Him should not but have everlasting life'?
s' Word- is full of personal testimonies and confessions of Him; it mattered supremely to the Psalmist that he could write: The Lord is my Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd Spending a holiday amo hills, two Christian men fell in with a shepherd lad and his sheep. To their surprise the lad knew nothing of the Good Shepherd, and they told him some of the shepherd stories of the Bible. They left the lad with a parting word about the preciousness of the Lord Jesus as a personal Shepherd.
