Stock prices on Wall Street today @nished with mostly gains ranging from fractions to 2 points, in a brighter and more active session.
Tax, war and labour uncertainties continue to be market depressants, but the belief that there will be strong Congressional opposition to the Treasury's revised EP.T. programme buoyed sentiment.
Later, the market rallied in late dealings, under the leadership of steels, on the disclosure that the steel price freezing order is under revi and will permit some higher prices for steels.
