Young America" Helping British War Relief

That young Amerita is taking an active hand in promoting British War Relief in the United States is proved by a letter written by Dorothy Round Little. the famous British tennis star who is coaching at the Seigniory Club this summer. Recently students at Lake Eric College for Women, Painesville, Ohio, turned out to witness an exhibition tennis match between Alice Marble of the United States and Mrs. Round Little, who has won Wimbledon championships five times.

Mrs Little. who spent the spring in Randolph. N. Y. writes of the Painesville exhibition, "The, balls given by Alice Marble and 'Teach' Tennant were autographed and auctioned after the game for one dollar each."

Receipts Total $82

So although the match was arranged on short notice, the auction with the gate proceeds brought the total receipts to $82 for "Young America Wants to Help," the junior branch of the British' War Relief. "It is intended to get all colleges and schools to ce-operate in the fund which will aim at helping young people overseas." writes Mrs. Little. This game was Lake Erie College's initial benefit for the fund. The e: hibition game ended 6—4, 6—3 in favour of Miss Marble.
