A good start was made for this race, in fact it turned out the most exciting of the day. Parcenu got out first, but was' immediately collared by Mors and others, who, to the number of seven ran almost together. Mors, creeping out, took a good lead, which he kept gallantly till passing the Stand, when Woron went up to him. In the second round Wat Tyler followed hard and headed the Parvenu. Beunding the corner he was accompanied by Woron and Master Henry, the three racing. splendidly up to distance; when Garry Oicen, who had been quietly waiting on them, shot out on the Stand side, and with o splendid burst fairly wrenched the cup from Master Henry.—Time min. 37sec.
