Tientsin Local Relief Fund

In order to alleviate the sufferings of the native population caused by the late floods, the Foreign Community of Tientsin had collected some money, with a view to distribute it in the villages close to the Settlement.

On Monday evening (5th February) a final meeting of the subscribers was held in the Reading Room of the Tientsin Club, when the Committee, consisting of Messrs Arendt and E. Meyer, (the Rev. Mr. Stanley being absent in the interior,) laid before the subscribers a statement of the relief given, with the amount collected for this purpose.
