An E-we gray (Boy), " Foochow black (Mr. Pond), " chestnut (Mr. racy said (Mr. Nickels), a bay (Mr. Clarke), Cannobie Lea (Archer); time, mile, 31} see.;4 mile min, 2 milo, 1 min. 37§ sec. The E-we gray won easily, and but a sorry performance for all the rest; others think that all the beaten ponies will improv seconds, by and bye, under the able tuition of Mr. Ecoles.

If the course was not remarkably slow, then this Wild" lot of griffing are duffers. black with white a ae Pte sec.;4 mile, 1 min. 5 sec.; mile 1 min '38 sec.; a better performance than the last, but still hardly worth noticing.
Mr. St. Andrew's grays (Mr. Allan), Mr. Choufleur's spotted (Mr. Nickels), and Mr. Fungus' Precaution (Mr. Pond),—won by the Intter ridden well out; time, 3 mile, SI sec.; $ mile, 1 min. 2'sec.; f mile, 1 min, 353 sec.
Mr. Townhall's Strathfree (Mr. Allan), Mr. Paragraph's gray (Mr. Nickels), another gray (Boy), and a griffin of Mr. Gore-Booth's (Kaifoo)—won easily by Strathfree, all the rest badly beaten; time, milo, 30 sec.; 4 mile. 1 min. 13 sec.; mile Lmin, 36$ sec. A very bad trial. Strathfree was once a race horse, but seems sadly deteriorated in every way since changing hands; the other ponies are useless, and from appearances seem to have "been prepared rather for a prize show than the Race Course.
