Disturbed State of Anam

Aunam is still apparently in" very disturbed atate, notwithstanding all the efforts which have been put forth by the French Government -tu pacify. that troublesome country. By the arrival of the German earner Vorwaerts, Captain Bruhn, from Touron tu day, we gather that the rebels, or pirates, have lately appeared in great force between the port of Touron and Plu Phai, a town about 25 miles island by iver. Hitherto they have contented them-Ives with trying to stop the importation of provisions, &e., into Touron, but on the night of Saturday the 16h their hostility became more active, and they set fire to a number of houres near the French Post Office. They offered no violence, however, to the native people or to the small French community in the place, consisting of the Customs Oficials, Mes: sngeries' agent, and a hotel keeper, and Letouk themselves to the other side of the river.

On the following night they also inber of villages, some five or aut from Twuron on the opposite Before Caytain Brohn left on the night of the 18th, the Prench garrison at juron, numbering about 400 men, had gone in pursuit of the rebels, wh' are nated, incorrectly we think, at 10,000 but had not as yet overtaken them. Luese disturbances will in all probability destroy the trade of Tourow for some time at leas nhan, loo, we learn that matters we what of the pi of than at Louron, for the rebels have most entirely cut eff the supplies from inland, and an eager rush is made on every vessel which visits the port for provi ete, The hot weather has now ar too, nnd the garrison can do nothi" ths'district of the blockaders.
