The following abstract of a Decree rolating to the present position between France and China has been received The French hare now sued for peace upon certain terms, Beyond this their petition does not go, and we have already consented to grant their prayer. It is thus agreed that, in Annam, at all places east of Helm Kuang hostilities are to cease at the beginning of the 3rd moon; the Chinese troops are to be recalled on the Jith, wud are to reach the frontier of Kuangsi on the 21st, I plac of Hstian Kuang hostilities on the 11th of the 3rd moon; the Chin troops are to be recalled on the 21st, and to reach the frontier of Yunnan on the 23rd of the Ath, All hostile operations in Formosa are' to conto at the beginning of the Sed moon, when the French will raise their blockade of the various jerts, Li Hung-chang will notify the icoruys and Governors of the sea-board must be taken against all treachery, and the Vicoroya and Go of Yunnan, Kueichow, and the sen-board provinces, besides all military commanders, must be instructed to exercise the greatest care and diligence, and never to relax their watchfulness,—Respect
