A large field, all of them griffins, contested this prize and as they had all fa led to win the Mai ideas owing to being shut in, orshutout, or some equally plausible reason, it was an interesting meeting. Colibri usual raced away with the lead, in fact did the fox with Tally-Ho after him; at the mile Tally-Ho caught him and came in easy winner by 1}lengths. Time, 2 mi 1 sec., 80 far the best of the day.
