The Chinese Hospital in Shantung Rond, which is under the care of Drs, Honderao Macleod and Milles, has continued ite past year, From the report we gather the the year, 628 male a GI female patients were treated in wards, while 13,801 males and 9,023 females were prescribed for at the Dispensary, ad 6,391 Chinese children were vaccinated." Of the 689 in-patients, only 80 died,,0 of this number being deaths from opium poisoning; 2 died from fracture of the skull, 1 from fracture of the spine, and 2 from other fractures, there being only four deaths among the fever patients, Fifty seven fractures were treated, seventeen dislocations were reduced, and fifty surgi operations were performed. Six persons were admitted to the Hospital with their vats cut, but none of them died; medi cines were supplied to 354 opium-smokers, The annual meeting of the Trustees of and subscribers to the Chinese Hospital was held at No. 2, Shavtung Road on Monday afternoon, ' There were _preat Messrs.
