One of the Censors presents a Memorial on behalf of Chih-hsun, sub-director of one of the Courts at Peking and a mandarin of the fifth class. Chih-hsun's elder brother, Chih-tuan, is the husband of one of the Imperial Princesses of the first rank. Chih-tuan being without an heir, Chih-hein is willing to allow his own son, Lin-kuang, to become the child of Chih-tuan by adoption. The Emperor is pleased to order that Lin-kuang be adopted as the heir of the Jung-shou Imperial Princess, and be granted the rank and dignities ordinarily enjoyed by the husband of a Princess of the first Rank.
