CASH COINED AT FOOCHOW FOR PEKIN!

(2) The Viceroy at Foochow states that he was instructed to coin a supply of cash for Peking with all possible speed, each being one mace in weight, and he was med by the Board of Revenue that he might deduct Tls. 200,000 from the land tax of the province in order to defray the cost. Twenty thousand strings have now been cast, and he has directed an officer to take them by steamer to Tientsin, and thence convey them to Peking and deliver them to the Board of Revenue. They have been insured against loss on the sea voyage. The casting of the remainder of the sum will be carried on as rapidly as possible.
