At the first bend Dudgeon's boat was leading by about a length, with Rudolph's boat third, about the same distance behnd Campbell' A little later the distance in each case was creased to about a Jength and a half. Phon the Red went more rapidly to the front, while the Yellow-and-Black on the contrary fell back, Rudolph's:-boat coming up to her in Gine style, till on nearing the boat-house the two were nearly abreast. A little further on, however, Campbell's four again shot ahead of the Green, and finally Red won easily, with Yellow-and-Black second, and Green a good third.
