We shall soon be losing the Rifle Brigade. The black or bottle-green will soon make way for scarlet. The chartered transport Cephalonia, with their relief the West York: shire Regiment, passed the Canal on the 20th inst. and is expected in Singapore on the 4th prox. The transport will arrive here about the 10th inst, but I do not know how long she will remain, It usually takes about a fortnight to effect the exchange.
