What with an excited populace, a Viceroy whois the patron of the author of the notorious "Defensio," and fora Taotai the gentleman who went to Hunan, in obedience to an Imperial Edict, to bring back Chou Han, but failed to find him, although he was in his house all the time.—what. with all these, this part of China promises to be a pretty hot spot for foreigners in more senses than one.
