The Court of Censors reports that the already cashiered ex-Taotai of the Tai-Ping-Sze-Sinn Intendancy of Kuangsi, named Ho Chao-jan, had the audacity recently to borrow avd use the official seal of the Imperial Courier Office to cover his petition of appeal, using also the said courier servicetotransmit his petit-nto the said Court at Peking. As the man is cashiered he had no right to borrow or use any official seals, while his duty was to come in person to Peking to present his appeal, we will, however, overlook his fault in this instance, but if in the future there happen any other instances of s similar character, we shall assuredly severely punish all the delinquants concerned in the matter.
