Shanghai Paper Hunt Club

CHRISTMAS-DAY EXTRA HUNT

The Grand Stand enclosure was seen at its best on this occasion, being crowded with those intending to take part in the Hunt, and it certainly surpassed all previous meets of this popular Club, the Scarlet of those who have previously won their Jaurels blending harmoniously with the more quiet colours of those who hare not been so fortunate. The course was selected by the Master of the S.P.H.C. and the run must be considered a good one. The start was from the back of Villa D'Arbois over a small grip which, however, proved big enough to cause inconvenience to some of the competitors. From this point the course led over the Little Round, Light Horse creek, Doria's jump, Tidal Creek Island, Tunsin line, and platform jump, after which a check was given, paper ultimately being found over Vincent Smith's bridge. The fox then turned right towards Fahwah village and Burkill's dry cuts, then sharp right to the wade by the Handicap Bridge through the Unkaza gates down the Jessfield line, where the flags were found.
