The Eu enquiry into the cireumstances attending the death of the American blue-jacket Macpherson, on the 16th ult., was brought to a conclusion on the 26th ult., when the Coroner delivered his fit fracture of the skull accompanied by laceration of the brain, and Mr. Smith added that the evidence indicated thut deceased fell from the verandah of bedroom No. 2 of the Stag Hotel.
There was no direct evidence that this was the fiot, but, us the Coroner said, the indications were in that direction. On the other hand, all the persons connected with the Hotel stated that, to the best of their knowledge, the deceased did not sleep at the Hotel. That death was the result of an accident I think there can be little doubt, but there must be persons who could throw some light upon how it occurred.
