The British Concession at Hankow

Tne trouble about the inclusion of British property in the new French Concession at Hankow has been solved by the Viceroy, by the advice of Mr. Moorhead, Commissioner of Customs, to whom great credit is due for the suggestion, making a great addition to the present British Concession. This is now carried right back to the City Wall, the other boundaries being the River on the east, the road bounding the Russian Concession on the north, and the road bounding the Bund on the south, We understand that the matter is settled, and the necessary proclamations are already published. Chinese will do anything for which a precedent can be shown them, and we trust that this precedent will be found of use in the agitation for the long-desired extension of the Anglo-American Settlement at Shanghai.
