Bathing parties get little frights occasionally, though as a matter of fact the objectionable barnacle is really the most common trouble to bathers in these waters if the bathing is off the shore. But on Saturday last, when a party of bathers were making their way ina boat from the launch to Dumbbell Island, a shark was sighted quite close. The pastime was not indulged in on this opportunity, the shark being considered altogether too undesirable a neighbour.
