The Creat Bank Robbery

Parr's Bank has recovered nearly all the rest of the missing bank notes. Tt may be remembered that some £60,000 worth were stolen from them some twelve months ago, and that £40,000 worth of these were returned anonymously a little Inter—doubtless by the thief, though whether in an access of honesty or because, the notes being individually for: large amounts, he found it impossible to cash them, clear. Since then one or two hundred-p notes have found their way into circulation; but none of the rest could he traced until a fow days ago, when some £20,000 worth were found stuck in an old bank book on the hank premises. The total loss which the bank has suffered is thus reduced to about £300, The mystery as to. who abstracted the notes seems unlikely to be discovered, though there i an iden that the hends of the Bank know more than they care to disclose.
