Macpherson's "grey" Kitchener (Mr. Campbell)...
Henry Morriss' dun "Nutberry The race for the Club Cup, always one of the most interesting creats of the meet ing, was not an exciting event. Two false starts preceded the actual start from the post, when Kitchener had the best of it and drew slightly away from the rest of the field. Before the Widow's Monument, Rose de France was leading, followed closely by Chessy, Dunlea, and Adonis. At the Monument itself, Chessy, was first, Rose de France second, and Dunles third. The race was then one between Chessy, Rose de France, and Dunlea. Dunlea lost lot of ground, however, and Chessy reached the post a long way ahead of the second pony, Rose de France. Won by four lengths.—Time, mins. 29secs. Pari-Mutuel.
