The New Post Office

will be built on the site of the present erection with a portion of the site of the Supreme Court thrown in, but as the new Law Courts will be some four years in course of construction, it is necessary to do something meantime to improve the accommodation in the existing Post office. After much consideration it has been decided to pull down the servants' quarters on the north of the office and these are now in course of demolition. It is tended to erect a sorting room on their site, which will give a good deal more freedom of movement for the staff, and the servants are to be lodged in quarters next the Land office.
