We see powdered hair for the first time one of the three daughters of Louis XIV, who form a tableau by themselves. These damsels have apparently been smoking, to judge by the pipe and tobacco at hand. Next to this, group Marie Leczinska has a space to herself. She considerably emphasises the powdered hair, wide sleeves and paniers which had been creeping into fashion in her day. Paniers and immense hips, however, evidently did not last long, for they do not appear at all in any other Louis XV.
