Plans completed.—Sketch plan for Foreign Police Training Depét. Proposed alterations to Council Rooms. Eastern District Lighting. Road Roller Shed and Overseer's Offices, Nor-them Dist Garden Bridge—Good progress has been made with the riveting of the north span. The erection of the south span commenced on the let of month and the riveting is now well in hand. The raising of the north approach rosels has been practically completed. The raising of the south approach was commenced on the 15th is being proceeded with as rapidly as possible.
Chekiang Road Bridge.—The steclwork of this bridge arrived on the 26th and is now being erected.
Passenger Pontoons "(Bund Foreshore.)—The jetties for both pontoons are approaching completion. The por toons themselves are framed and the connecting bridges, roof principals and columns are all being constracted. "Lighting—Seven are lamps. been erected in the Central District during the month along Nanking, Szechuen, Honan, Soochw Roads, and the Bund, in accordance with' the amended Lighting Scheme.
Tramways.—The junctions connecting Bubbling Well Road and Hart Road have now been laid.
