It is reported from Peking that an Iuperial Rescript has been issued to close an Association called the Self Gorernment Association, oF Society. The result has been the abolition of the Society and the scattering of its members.
A letter from Peking states that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested Viceroys and Governors el provinces to find out the number of naries within their HE. Chang Tseng-yang, Governor-designate of Shansi province, arrived in Peking on Wednesday last and will shortly be received in audience by the Throne.
