As already noted in these columns a detachment of the troops of General Chiang Kuei-ti whilst passing through Anhui province on their way from Peking to the Yangtze, by their bad discipline created considerable trouble amongst the inhabitants en route. In couple of instances actual bloodshed is reported. We now learn that H. E. Feng Hei, Governor of Anhui province, in response to the complaint of the inhabitants concerned, has sent two Taotais with instractions to investigate matters for a report to the Throne.
