We have had the mournful duty of interring the remains of the late Mrs. G. Kiilizau and of offering sympathy to her bereaved husband. Dr. Hicker was most assiduous in his attention during a long struggle for the patient. Thus has passed away a lady who had enjoyed the respect of all.
Tu addition one old friend, Capt. Downi= of the Pekin, whose hearty welcome and cheery word were given to all, has passed away in the Shanghai Hospital. After so many years' coming and going-he became a part, of us; he will be missed and sorrowed for as a friend of many. We have had our share of festivity, but it has been balanced by sorrow in the loss of friends.
