The Moorish Mission

The Sultan of Morocco has now two special missions at work in European capitals, The Moorish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Si Abd-d-Kanin and his suite arrived in Paris two days ago and have just had their first interview with M. Delcassé. To-morrow they are to. be received at the Elysee by President Loubet. The length of their stay will doubtless depend on the success of their efforts to humbug the infidel, in which exercise Si Abd-el-Kanin is an adept, he having been the " ime damnée," as the French say, of the deceased Grand Vizier. It is hardly likely that the mission will accomplish much, M. Delcassé being fully aware that the Sultan's promises are worth very lit tle, even when his Sherifian majesty really desires to fulfil them, his authority being ited.

In the meantime. the Envoys are being hospitably entertained. A mansion near the Parc Monceau has been placed at their disposal, and next week ther will be shown such sights-as are most likely to impress them.
