The Departure from Hsian

The Universal Gazette" publishes a telegram received from Hsisn with regard to the recent report that the Empress Dowager had ordered another change of date (14th October) for the departure of the Court from Hsixn. The telegram in question emphatically declares that there has been no change of date and that the Court will certainly start from Asian for iféng, Honan, on the Ist of September next, as already decided upon and notified to the world at large. It is also declared that the Court intends to make a stay at K'ai-féng—how long is not stated—before finally proceeding to Peking.
