London, Nov. 18 The Admiralty publishes the Glssgow's report of the battle off the coast of Chile from which it appears that the enemy were sighted distance of twelve miles, The Good Hope signalled to the Canopus that she was going to attack with tht Monmouth, Glaagow and Otranto. Five minutes after sunset, when the English ships were silhouetted against the after-glow, the enemy opened fire at 19,000 yards The growing darkness and a heavy made firing difficult.
When the Good Hope and Monmouth had apparently sunk, the Glasgow escaped in order to avoid destruction. The report makes n0 mention of the auxiliary cruiser Otranto participating in the fight.
