The communique issued this afternoon says that from the North Sea to the Lys we have taken several trenches at the point of the bayonet.
We have consolidated our psitions at Lombertzyde and Saint George's and organized the ground gained westward of Gheluvelt.
We have progressed at several points in the region of Vermelles.
There has been no infantry sotie on the rest of the front, but very effective firm, our heavy artillery in the vicinity of Tracy-lo-Val and also in the region of Cham-Pages Argonne and Verdun.
There is nothing to report elsewhere.
