The annual general meeting of the subscribers to the Chinese Hospital, Shantung Road, was held on Thursday evening. There were present:—Sir Pelham L, Warren, K-0.M.G. (Chairman), Mesars.
L. H. Iburg, J. D. Smart, Poate, Mich Hang-dow, Yang' Hai-ta R. N. Macleod, (Hon, Secretary), the Rev. E. Box, and Dr. Davenport.
The secretary having read the notice convening the meeting, the treasurer's report and accounts a8 presented were accepted and passed.
The medical report which had been passed by the Committee was put before the meeting.
The Chairman referred to the appointment of Dr. Davenport, as Medical Officer, under agreement between the Committee and the London Missionary Society.
Mr. W. H. Ponto was appointed trustee in place of Mr. J. L. Scott, resigned.
The new Committee was elected, consisting of: The Rev. E. Box, Mesars. C. 8. Asldis, Walter Scott, and W. H. Poste, (Trustees), ex officio, and Messrs. C, L. H. Tburg, L. J. Cubitt, J. D. Smart, Dre. Mills, Macleod, and Davenport, and the Hon, Treasurer and Hon. Seoretary.
Mr. J, K. Grant was re-elected Hon. Treasurer, and it was left to the Qom, mittee to appoint a Seoretary, Mr. R. N, Macleod signifying his willingdoss $9. api 18 the mgnntimey
