The British Squadron in the Yangtse.
The local mandarins have received an intimation that Admiral Noel, who has gone up the Yangtse with a squadron of battleships and cruisers, intends to call on Viceroy Wei Kuang-tao at Nanking first and then upon Viceroy Chang Chih-tung at Wuchang. In both cities preparations are being made to entertain' the Admiral and his officers.
