The House of Peers has received the Tariff Bill as originally proposed by the Government, opposing the amendments insisted upon by the Seiyakai which, inter alia, provided for enhanced duties on cereals.
A joint conference will, in consequence, take place.
LAND OWNERSHIP BILL, The House of Representatives has passed the Foreign Land Ownership Bill as amended by the Seiyukai, by which ownership is restricted to foreigners residing in Japan and to properly legalized persons approved by the Home Minister.
