The Christmas Hunt, the only extra haaf of the season, was laid on Monday by the Master and attracted a big. field.
The start was from Pleasant Quarter line and went by the Xmas Jamp and Burkill's to the Bee Line, then the:
Barren Creek Jomp had to be negotinted. A check was laid towards Drop and Crawl, but no-one seemed to have been taken in by it. In fact the checks all through the bent seem to have missed fire, and consequently the hunt was more of a handicap than anything else.
After the Barren Creek. Jamp the hunt went to Sing, sharp right over the platform and) then Pons, which was jambed practically by all. From here the bast went to Paneme over cross the Hongjao Rosd to the eas Coantry; the check towards Hungjao failed s some of the know. ing brigade" bad seen that two jumps had been cut by the Double Platform at the Artery Creek. It was a very fast gallop from here dowa the Vermin line across the Hnngjso Road to Perroll's line where the finish was.
The general opinion seems to be that the hunt was s good one, cltbongh very hard on the heavy-weights.
