Slaughter of Pigs.—With reference to the decision on this subject published with the minutes of the meeting of Jane 15, the Health Officer recommends that two out of the six houses forming the temporary slaughter house io the Chengta Road be banded over to the natives using them, on payment of the installation expenses, Tls. 376, and it thin step proves successful, he proposes similarly to transfer the remaining houses. Generally such steps as Dr. Stank thinks fit for terminating the tervention la this indnetry are authorized.
