There have been nu important events at the front during the week past, though the lull in the action is probably more apparent than real. The operations at the rear of Port Arthur are continuing, Lut we are not yet at liberty to note anything definitely. The ichiao-Yinkou section of the Chinese Eastern Railway was opened by the Japanese on the 19th of September and the Tashi-Chiao-Linoyang section will be opened to traffic on the 2nd of October.
