Commandeering of Fleet

Speaking of shipping, th firm of Ching Kee & Ca. have recently suffered very severely as a result of the war, Some weeks ago two of their vessels were either commandeered by or sold to Chang /Tso-in. Chefoo is in the territory of Wu Poi-fu and naturally this has aroused the anger of that General. As a result the whole of the Ching Kee fleet of steamers, about 14 vessels we believe, has been taken by Wu. Ching Keo is therefore out of action completely. Most of the vessels have, we are given to understand, gone to Tien tsin but their final disposition is unknown, Ching Kee & Ca, are not the: only company to suffer, The "Tung Wah" of the China Merchants S. N. Ca. wns seized here last Friday and returned to Tientsin.
