The report that the French African Troops are unable to stand the climate of France and are being returned to their native shore will have to be taken with " grain of salt. The number of men transported from Africa to France was 85,000 and these men were hardened up by two years incessant fighting in Moroooo. There is, no doubt, passionate wish in certain quarters that the climate should be against them. For men of this stamp are sure to be more than useful in the fighting line. But we doubt whether the wish is strong enough to imply belief. In either case, however, disappointment is certain.
